Infrared spectroscopy is a powerful analytical tools that is used in a wide range of research fields in physics, chemistry, and biology. One of the most important applications is characterization of biological molecules. We have developed a highly sensitive detection scheme based on nano-FTIR and not achieved single-protein infrared spectroscopy.
