Matter is composed of atoms and molecules. Therefore, for a proper understanding of the properties and functions of matter, precise measurements focused on atoms and molecules are necessary. Our research group aims to elucidate the mechanisms leading to the manifestation of physical properties and functions from the structure and dynamics of atoms and molecules within matter. We conduct research and development on broadband correlation measurements and analyses in spatial domains ranging from single-atom and molecule scales to nano- and meso-scales, in time domains from femtoseconds to nanoseconds, and across ultraviolet, visible, and infrared wavelength ranges.
